As the educational landscape continues to evolve, Latinos for Education is committed to meeting the needs of our increasingly diverse student population in Greater Houston. The white paper, The Power of Language: Educational Transformation Through the Lens of Latino Parents and Educators, includes the results from a survey of 400 Houston area Latino parents and educators, many of whom are both parents and educators.

Centering the voice of Latino parents and educators

Parents and educators who live in Harris, Fort Bend, Montgomery, Brazoria, Galveston and Liberty counties made up our respondents and shared more about their experiences and recommendations. The results were clear: Latino parents want to be involved in their children’s schools, but barriers limit their ability to do so, and they favor the expansion of bilingual programs and language access policies.Download the full white paper to read more about our key findings and recommendations.
