Who are the ideal candidates?
- Identify as Latino/a/x/e
- 1- 4 years of teaching experience
- Will be a PreK-12 teacher for the 2024-2025 school year
- Teaching in Massachusetts, Houston, or the Bay Area
- Has a track record of achieving high student achievement
- Teachers who support multilingual learners are highly encouraged to apply
By the end of the summer, we expect Fellows will:
- Increase their self-efficacy around leveraging their Latinx identity as agents of change
- Develop clarity over their commitment to the classroom and their goals within the education landscape
- Collaborate around best practices for driving positive academic outcomes for students of color
- Build local and national learning networks of Latinx teachers
Program Fee
Fellows pay an individual fee of $100 to participate in the program, which is due when Fellows accept their offer to participate in the Fellowship. This fee is a reduced rate from the overall costs of the program, and it helps to cover the cost of trainings, retreats, and materials. The remainder of the cost is subsidized through organizational partners that pay $1,500 per Fellow and through scholarship support.
