Latinos for Education Names Julene Pérez as Chief Advancement Officer 

New Leadership Role to Drive National Expansion, Strategic Fundraising, and Communications 

Boston, MALatinos for Education, the leading organization dedicated to advancing Latino leadership in the education sector, is proud to announce the appointment of Julene Pérez as its new Chief Advancement Officer (CAO). In this executive role, Julene will spearhead the organization’s development, marketing, and communications efforts to bolster the mission of creating more equitable opportunities for Latino students and families. 

Julene brings over two decades of leadership experience within the nonprofit sector, particularly in education, civil rights, and youth development. Her previous roles include Vice President of Development and External Relations at the American Constitution Society and key leadership positions with the David and Lucile Packard Foundation, Hispanics in Philanthropy, and the Mexican American Legal Defense and Educational Fund (MALDEF). Throughout her career, Julene has successfully led high-impact fundraising campaigns and initiatives that have furthered Latino representation and educational equity.

In her new capacity, Julene will oversee the organization’s fundraising, communications, and strategic partnerships, leading a diverse team focused on advancing educational equity for the Latino community. She will also work to strengthen the organization’s financial growth through individual and institutional giving, ultimately helping Latinos for Education expand its service to more Latino students, educators, and families across the U.S.
