“This action to deny student loan relief is detrimental to the Latino community”

“Latinos for Education was disappointed by Congress’s vote to rescind the President’s actions on student loans.  Latino students are more likely than their peers to take longer to repay their student loans, which impacts so many aspects of their lives.  The President’s proposal would have entirely eliminated loans for over half of Latino borrowers. This action to deny student loan relief is detrimental to the Latino community.  We are grateful to President Biden for his commitment to vetoing this resolution.”
