Adriana Solís-López, former Vice President of Development at College Track, joins Latinos for Education as Chief Development Officer.
Boston, Massachusetts – Latinos for Education announced today that Adriana Solís-López is joining the rapidly growing organization as their Chief Development Officer, where she will lead development and partnerships strategies for the Latino-led and founded organization. Prior to this role, Adriana served as the Vice President of Development at College Track, a national nonprofit devoted to college access and persistence, where she secured an eight-figure investment for the organization, the largest single gift in its history.
“Education has been transformative in my life, and I’m thrilled to join an organization that’s devoted to improving educational equity and access for the Latinx community,” said Adriana Solís-López. “The work that Latinos for Education does is deeply personal to me as I consider my own daughters and their futures in the education system, as well as my own experience as a high school and college graduate. Overall it’s an exciting time to join the team because we’re scaling our work to reach more students, families, and educators.”
Adriana has 13 years of experience in various local and international nonprofits, where she has worked to support organizations focused on education, youth development, immigrant rights, workforce development, peacekeeping and environmental justice. She has extensive fundraising experience and specializes in building large, collaborative teams while being mindful of regional contexts. As the Chief Development Officer, she will be responsible for developing a fundraising and operations strategy to help scale Latinos for Education’s work even further. Additionally, she will help build the organization’s partnerships to advance its mission and fundraising capacity.
Originally from Southeast Los Angeles, Adriana is proud to come from a family of hardworking immigrant parents and a Spanish-speaking household. She is a first-generation college graduate and obtained her B.A. in History at the University of California, Berkeley. She later went on to pursue her Masters in Public Policy, with a focus on education, at Mills College.
