Visión 2050 is only as strong as the leaders who carry it forward. Our programs prepare educators and changemakers to lead that future, starting with Foundations.
Foundations is a leadership experience for educators committed to Latino student success who are ready to help reimagine education.
Over six weeks, participants gain clarity about who they are as a leader while working on a real challenge they’re facing right now. They build skills that can be used immediately, develop relationships with educators across the country, and leave with a plan for what to do next.
Clarity about your leadership purpose. You’ll know what you stand for, where you can contribute, and what you can do next.
Practical skills you can apply immediately. This includes the judgment to know when AI serves your students and when it doesn’t.
A deeper understanding of the systems you work in. You’ll take more informed action on the challenges you care about.
A strengthened ability to move change forward. You’ll leave with the leadership skills to turn a real problem into action, not just diagnose it.
A community that values your perspective. You’ll build relationships with peers doing the same work, in the same season, alongside you.
A pathway to what comes next. You’ll leave connected to Latinos for Education’s leadership pathways and educator network.
Foundations combines live cohort sessions with self-paced learning, reflection, and hands-on application. Expect to invest approximately 25–30 hours over six weeks engaging with course content, collaborating with peers, and applying your learning in your own context.

Practice on a challenge you're facing now
Foundations builds on nearly ten years of leadership development. We’ve worked with educators, school and district administrators, nonprofit professionals, and families.
Together, we’ve prepared more than 1,000 alumni with over 700 who now serve as principals, superintendents, policymakers, nonprofit executives, and board members.
We’ve also equipped hundreds of parents and caregivers to advocate for their children’s education.

Parents And Caregivers Equipped To Advocate
I will look back on this experience as something that helped shape how I tell my story and how I impact systems moving forward. There is something unique about this experience that I can’t really put into words, you just have to experience it. You feel less alone, and it’s a space where you can feel heard. It was challenging but well worth it.
Past participants reflect on the leadership experiences that shaped their next steps.
Applications for our next Foundations cohort open in the spring. Sign up to be the first to know.
