Applicant Profile
We’re looking for visionary leaders with:
A strong professional background
- At least 8 years of professional experience.
- Currently in a mid-to-senior level leadership position at an education organization, such as a school district, charter management organization, or education nonprofit. We also encourage applicants in education policy, higher education, edtech, and local education agencies to apply.
- Professionals leading a team or working with a significant percentage of Latino students and/or staff are also strongly invited to apply.
The personal drive to lead change
- Committed to education equity at both a local and national level.
- Eager to learn, grow, and expand their leadership influence.
- Embodies the core values of Latinos for Education.
- Open to new ideas and diverse perspectives in education leadership.
Program Fees and Scholarships
Fellows pay an individual fee of $300 to participate in the program, which is due when Fellows accept their offer to participate in the Fellowship. This fee is a reduced rate considering the cost of the program is $7,000 per person to cover trainings, retreats, and materials. The remainder of the cost is subsidized through organizational partners that pay $2,500 per Fellow and through scholarship support.
